and were seated by a hospitable waitress Ntokozo. She offered us the couples special which is a starter and main or main and dessert for only R370! For Monday – Thursday evenings. Plus we received a complimentary bottle of The Hussar Grill red wine.
We ordered a Calamari main and a 300g Sirloin. The Calamari were crisp succulent tubes that were cooked to tender perfection. The Sirloin was juicy and tender and full of flavour.
Once the mains were done we had the option to choose any dessert on the main menu. We had the Hussar Grill Ice Cream Dessert which was a beguiling combination of vanilla ice cream, peanut brittle, marshmallow, nougat, honeycomb and sprinkled nuts, drizzled with the Hussar Grill dark chocolate sauce. An absolute must try!
We also ordered the Malva Pudding which was a sweet sponge pudding with a sticky, caramelised texture. Served with a drizzle of custard.
Towards the end of the evening when the bill arrived we were served a complimentary chocolate vodka martini which ended the evening on a sweet note.
