A little bit about us…

Paw Prints Rescue and Rehoming are a registered NPC & PBO based in Botha’s Hill KZN. We are a pro-life, safe centre for rescue dogs and puppies that have been abused, abandoned, or neglected, with our overall objective to rehabilitate and rehome them.

Since 2015 we have rehomed over 6000 pups and dogs, including those from networking and sharing other dogs in need of homes due to their owners immigrating, divorced, down-sizing or no longer in a financial position to be able to care for their dogs.

One of PPRR 2022 highlights was the growing number of school students that came to do Community Service with us; where they spent time bathing and walking the pups and dogs, giving them much-needed love and affection, assisting with feeding and specific projects. The feedback we got from a lot of the school students, is that volunteering provided them with a sense of purpose, and it made them feel good about themselves as they were able to make a real contribution to something they feel so strongly about. For PPRR just them playing with the rescue dogs and pups can improve their chances of being adopted as most families who want to adopt an animal are looking for a sociable, loving, playful pet and this, also, assists our team in their daily tasks.

The main objective is to encourage more students to volunteer their spare time at the adoption centre and to share the work we do with their family and friends, creating awareness of PPRR. PPRR endeavours, where possible, to have the volunteers doing something that they enjoy, and has a checklist of tasks that they can choose from – fundraising, awareness, donations of items, adoption days, events and keeping our social media platform updated with relevant posts and videos, to name a few.
