Coastal Horse Care Unit Welcomes Robert Bloxham
Underprivileged horse owners from rural areas recently gathered for a saddle making a course with world-renowned Robert Bloxham.
These initiatives are set in place by the Coastal Horse Care Unit to help skill transfer and job creation for rural people in making safe tack for rural working horses. These essential community upliftment programmes enable local horseman to repair & make their own tools and tack ensuring the comfort and safety of their horses.
The most recent workshop was on the 20 March 2019 at the Emahhashini Training Centre in Cato Ridge. The training was done by British Saddle Maker Robert Bloxham who travelled from the UK sponsored by World Horse Welfare.
Below are some photos of the Rural horse owners learning how to make their own tools and tack! The ripple effect of this effort is paramount and we are so grateful to the sponsors and of course to YOU the audience for your donations and support for community efforts such as this.
CHCU shirts for this community upliftment training programme were proudly sponsored by BAY DRIVE MINING & CIVILS.
